Visit: Imperial Health Club, Helsinki

Imperial Health Club, HelsinkiGentleman’s Style paid a visit to the Imperial Health Club, a private gym in Helsinki, Finland. Located in Töölönkatu 21, in the same building as the Scandic Park Helsinki hotel, the gym is very close to the city centre.

The Imperial Health Club has been in this same location since it was first opened in 2000. Now, under the new management, the gym has been renewed and targets to be the leading private health club in Helsinki for high profile customers.

We met one of the new owners, Satu Tuomisto, who told us about how the Imperial Health Club differs from other gyms in Helsinki.

“Imperial Health Club offers a unique and private workout environment for the customers. It is designed to be the place where a busy manager or entrepreneur can relax for a moment and ease of the stress. Place where you can work out in privacy or just spend time with your friends.“

To ensure customer satisfaction, Imperial Health Club has really invested in customer service.

“First class customer service is something that most health clubs can’t provide. The health club personnel are there for the customers; receptionist always welcomes you to the club and personal trainers are on hand to help gym users to improve their workouts.”

In addition to the gym equipment, the Imperial Health also provides massage services, steam baths, saunas and the pool. Steam baths are located downstairs for relaxing after workout, while the saunas are on the building’s top floor offering views over Helsinki and Töölö Bay.

Towels, soap and body care products can be found from the gym. You don’t even need to remember to carry your gym wear, as they are washed and kept ready at the health club for your next visit.

After the workout, the club room is the place to meet friends, read the newspaper or to enjoy a beverage.

The number of customers is limited to 200, to ensure that there is always room at the gym when you want to exercise in privacy. There are still few places left, so you need to hurry if you want to exercise at the Imperial Health Club.
