To the most popular models, Derby and Oxford, present in both their basic versions and more elaborate, there are numerous proposals for Monk strap shoes with a single or double buckle, with both classic monochrome lines and reimagined with special holes and broguering. New sports models have been introduced to complement those which already exist, while the running dress, highly successful last season, is once again confirmed with new colour variations and new versions.
Among the leathers used in this collection, the most popular is the smooth calfskin alongside split leather, naturally or geometric printed and carved leather. All are worked and customised using manual techniques that have always characterised the style of this brand. The great novelty of the 2016 season is white waxed, which imprints white shades on to the shoes, bringing a touch of freshness and sportiness to the collection.
The combinations of materials and colours has always been a characteristic of Giorgio 1958 collections: for this summer season, there are the classic calf/split/croc combinations, but also new prints and new mixes of cut-outs and uppers have been added.
Blue reigns mostly uncontested in the summer collection: navy, electric blue, cobalt or denim are just some of the shades that appear on whole portions or little details of uppers, or alternatively on the soles, laces and stitching. Again this case new colours are introduced, such as sand and taupe, which fit into the wide range of colours chosen for this season well, which also sees the presence of grey, green, brown, tone on tone, two-tone or more colour solutions.
