Paul McCartney will perform a benefit concert October 1 at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, topping off a month-long grand opening celebration for the new $203 million performing arts center located in the heart of downtown San Antonio. In his first San Antonio appearance since 1993, McCartney and his band will perform in The Tobin Center’s 1,750-seat H-E-B Performance Hall as a fundraising event.

The lyrics, which sold to a private collector, were the top lot in the Rock & Roll History: Presley to Punk auction, the first dedicated music history sale at Sotheby’s for over a decade.

Live Nation have announced that BluesFest, UK’s Only Major Festival Celebrating Blues, Soul & Roots Music, will return to the Royal Albert Hall this autumn for an extended six-day event. Now in its fourth year, BluesFest made history in 2013 when it relocated to the Royal Albert Hall and became the iconic building’s first ever full-scale music festival.
The Wintez Jazz Fest, or Vinterjazz in Danish, is the only nationwide music festival in Denmark. The 2014 edition of Vinterjazz is bigger than ever, presenting more than 400 concerts, spread well to 75 venues across the country, which is a significant improvement on the last year’s 300 concerts at 60 venues.
