Paul McCartney performs a benefit concert at the Tobin Center in San Antonio

Paul McCartney will perform a benefit concert October 1 at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, topping off a month-long grand opening celebration for the new $203 million performing arts center located in the heart of downtown San Antonio. In his first San Antonio appearance since 1993, McCartney and his band will perform in The Tobin Center’s 1,750-seat H-E-B Performance Hall as a fundraising event.

Bob Dylan’s lyrics sell for $2 million at Sotheby’s

Bob Dylan’s original hand-written lyrics for the 1965 epic Like A Rolling Stone was sold for $2,045,000 at Sotheby’s New York Rock & Roll History: Presley to Punk auction setting an auction record for a popular music manuscript. The lyrics, which sold to a private collector, were the top lot in the Rock & Roll History: Presley to Punk auction, the first dedicated music history sale at Sotheby’s for over a decade.

Rock in Rio debuts in Las Vegas in May 2015

Live Nation have announced that BluesFest, UK’s Only Major Festival Celebrating Blues, Soul & Roots Music, will return to the Royal Albert Hall this autumn for an extended six-day event. Now in its fourth year, BluesFest made history in 2013 when it relocated to the Royal Albert Hall and became the iconic building’s first ever full-scale music festival.
