The 290-room Shangri-La hotel, Ulanbaatar is the latest arrival to Ulan Bator’s evolving scene and embraces the rich nomadic culture of Mongolia with the sophisticated warmth of Shangri-La hospitality. Shangri-La Hotel, Nanjing, has opened in the centre of vibrant Gulou District of Nanjing city in China. The 450-guestroom Shangri-La Hotel, Nanjing overlooks the pristine Xuanwu Lake, which features a park and is situated next to an underground train network that easily accesses every direction of the city.
Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts opened its 85th hotel in China’s largest northern port city, Tianjin. Spacious rooms range from one of the largest deluxe rooms in the city, the 48-square-metre Deluxe River View Room, to the 240-square-metre Shangri-La Suite. In addition to its guestrooms, the hotel offers 39 serviced apartments. All guestrooms overlook the Haihe River, and the executive Horizon Club Lounge on Level 32 offers panoramic views of the city.
Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts and Dubai-based real estate developer Nakheel have signed a letter of intent for Shangri-La to manage a 290-room hotel in The Palm Tower on Palm Jumeirah. Construction of The Palm Tower, part of the new Nakheel Mall and Hotel complex at the heart of the world-famous Palm Jumeirah island, is planned to begin this year with the hotel expected to open in 2016.
