Sotheby’s Finest and Rarest Wines sale in London on 17 June 2015 features line-up of wines from Burgundy, Bordeaux, Champagne, Italy and beyond. The 1050-lot auction is estimated to bring a combined total in excess of £930,000.

Sotheby’s announced the auction of one of the most famous and evocative book illustration of the twentieth century: E.H. Shepard’s original ink drawing of Christopher Robin, Piglet and Pooh on the famous ‘poohsticks’ bridge, first published in A.A. Milne’s celebrated The House at Pooh Corner in 1928.
Sotheby’s will offer Vincent van Gogh’s Still Life, Vase with Daisies and Poppies in its Evening Sale of Impressionist & Modern Art in New York on 4 November 2014. Painted at the home of Dr. Paul Gachet just weeks before the end of Van Gogh’s life, the artist uses the richly-colored bouquet of wildflowers to convey his psychological state at the time – a hallmark of the Expressionist icon.
